No two journeys are the same. These photos capture a few of the steps I\u2019ve taken along mine. Behind each image are stories \u2014 some joyful, some painful \u2014 filled with moments of loss, learning, laughter, and growth. I trained the editorial team, designed early issues, and laid the foundation for a self-sustaining, modernized publication. This daffodil logo, which I conceived and animated for Kurdsat\u2019s very first test broadcast, was more than just design. It symbolized cultural renewal, dignity, and resilience in a time of transition. That modest seed grew into a major television network. But even then, I saw beyond its walls. In the basement, I launched Iraq\u2019s first internet caf\u00e9, offering the public a first glimpse into the digital world. I introduced the country\u2019s first prepaid internet cards and configured Sulaymaniyah\u2019s first-ever internet connection.<br>The technical obstacles were enormous. I still remember hundreds of sleepless nights, especially when we deployed a GSM system originally designed for a small island \u2014 wholly inadequate for Iraq\u2019s urban demand. It nearly collapsed under the pressure. But we adapted, optimized, and kept it running.<br>Amid infrastructure scarcity, and logistical challenges,  I initiated the first contact with Huawei \u2014 a decision that enabled us to eventually scale to over 70,000 lines by 2003, laying the groundwork for Iraq\u2019s telecom revolution.<br>All of this took place under the leadership of Mr. Faruk Mustafa Rasool, whose vision and personal support were instrumental. He once said there were five people \u2014 himself included \u2014 without whom Asiacell would not exist. I was honored to be one of them.<br>This photo montage \u2014 of the transmission tower, headquarters, and my Baghdad franchise \u2014 represents more than telecom. Representing the Kurdistan Electronic Court initiative, I joined leaders including Frank Tumwebaze, then Uganda\u2019s Minister of Information Technology and Communications, and Priit Kongo, CEO of Estonia\u2019s Net Group, to explore how digitization can enhance trust and attract investment.
